Description / Expertise
A superb William IV rosewood library table in the Gothic manner. The well figured, rounded rectangular top above geometrically opposite opening frieze drawers and alternative dummy drawers, with shaped inset rosewood panels and rounded frieze corners. The table is supported on elegant end supports with inset broken arch panels with arched scrolling and a high cross stretcher. The end supports rest on a cross platform stretcher with exquisitely carved ankle brackets and fabulous solid rosewood carved feet. A truly superb piece of excellent colour & patina, most probably by a top London maker.
