Excellent. Superb original colour & patina. Minor repairs to flake or chipped veneers, cleaning & waxing. The brassware, feet and locks appear to be original.

A superb George II figured walnut & feather banded compact bureau of excellent original colour & patina. The top and fall with sectioned book matched veneers feather & cross banded. Below a pair of retractable lopers border an arrangement of two short over three long graduated, feather & cross-banded drawers with brass plate handles and escutcheons. The fall opens to reveal an arrangement of seven drawers and four pigeon holes. The bureau is supported on we believe the original bracket feet. An excellent piece of furniture of particularly good colour and patina and only 28" wide.
