A mid 19th Century 20 inch terrestrial globe by Newton’s, the paper decorated with ‘Observations of the most esteemed navigations and travellers to the present time, published in January 1852,’ with Australia still described as New Holland, raised on a mahogany stand with spiral turned legs united by a stretcher with a compass dial.
