Walnut case with simple mouldings turned and fluted legs and candleholders (sconces) and brass side lifting handles
A Bord, Paris - makers name in black and gold on keyboard cover, 7 octave keyboard with ebony accidentals (sharps)
A good example of late 19th century French piano construction. Oblique strung to provide a fuller bass tone. Copper close wound covered bass strings, bichord steel tenor strings and trichord strung treble.
Pleasing flute like tone quality ideal for lighter home use.
Made at a time when pianos were tuned with the change of the seasons, 4 times a year.
