The rectangular back, with original leather and brass studs, above open arms. The rectangular stuff-over close-nailed seat, period but not original & faced with a patch of modern leather on the frieze. Standing on rectangular legs joined by shaped, front stretchers carved with scrollwork, shaped side stretchers and a straight bottom back stretcher. An upper back stretcher removed. Original colour and patina. Second half of the 17th century.
