Excellent condition, lining replaced and ink bottles missing

A good early 19th century Lap Desk or writing slope, unusually constructed in richly figured Amboyna wood. Fitted with brass corner brackets and flush fitting handles. This piece would have been made as a campaign or travelling piece for a gentleman.
