A FINE IVORY CRUCIFIX

ITALY.

Circa 1860.



The ivory Corpus Christi carved in the full round, shown wearing a perizonium tied to His right and the crown of thorns, on a red velvet covered cross, mounted on a carved frame with the spear amongst the bullrushes to the left and the ladder and sponge to the right, the hammer, nails and tongs below.
The corpus particularly finely carved.
