A portrait of Anna Mulloch with her syce. Painted by Alfred Grenfell Haigh and dated 1907.
Haigh started to paint professionally at the age of 30 when he settled in Newmarket. Famous horses that he painted include "The Tetrach", "Bahram", "Manna" and "Airborne", and amongst his patrons were such famous racehorse owners as Lord Rosebery, the Duke of Rutland and the Aga Khan. He also made a couple of successful trips to America. Sally Mitchell rates him as "one of the best horse portraitists of the 20th century"
