A French Empire style mahogany & ormolu mounted cylinder desk. A superb quality desk with overall ormolu mounts in the classical taste. The marble top over three drawers and above the cylinder which opens to reveal an arrangement of drawers & pigeon holes and a sliding leathered writing surface. Below the cylinder are five drawers. The whole is raised on cabriole legs with winged lions head mounts.
