Description / Expertise
Very smart-looking George III sterling silver rectangular salver on four feet. The plain salver has a bold gadroon border and each of the feet is edged with gadrooning which ends at the base is a squirl resembling a ram's horn.
The centre of the salver is engraved with a crest of a mailed right arm who's hand is holding a dagger and a motto below "INIMICA TYRANNIS".
In many ways, rectangular salvers are even more versatile than circular ones.
