Antique Writing Box made of solid Mahogany bound with square brass & steel screws, has two campaign flush fitting handles either side of the writing box and has a side drawer, all in fantastic original condition and superb patination.

On the back of the other writing surface has its original green ribbon for holding caling cards or letters and holds the wooden book support for the lecturn.

The Writing Box also has its original candle sconces hidden underneath the right hand cover, the left hand cover when removed shows a sloping knib compartment, the ebonised pentray has turned bone handle and a compartment underneath. The bass lecturn to the right hand side of the interior has been replaced and aged to look original to the box due to being broken & missing and the box also has a small old repair (hardly noticeable but worth mentioning) to the flap where the flap catch goes into the flap to secure it when shut.

Truly magnificent piece of History.
