2.40inch wide    2.30inch high    0.90inch deep (6.10 cm wide  5.84 cm high  2.29 cm deep)

The box is in 95% mint condition – minor wear only.

This is a Dutch silver box with import hallmarks for London 1901. The heart shaped box has a hinged lid has a rich gilt finish inside. The box is decorated on the lid with a raised scene of a courting couple. The couple are seated on the grass. The lady is holding a flute and the gent’s hat is tossed aside. Behind them are trees and shrubbery. The whole scene is has intricate detailing. The sides of the box are decorated with heavily embossed swirls, flowers and leaves.
