Large Victorian Breakfronted Open Antique Oak Bookcase.
This large Victorian breakfronted open antique oak bookcase, circa 1870, would be an impressive storage solution for any collector of books. Its’ simple classic lines offer a statement piece that would not look out of place in the modern home despite being a true investment in an antique. It has a breakfronted moulded top above three open sections each with three removable shelves. These currently rest on fixed brackets however if one wished to make these even more practical and have them made adjustable, this can be done (please contact us for additional cost information). The antique bookcase stands on a plain breakfronted plinth and is a light, warm oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
