Large Victorian Mahogany Twin Pedestal Antique Dining Table.
This is a beautiful large Victorian mahogany twin pedestal antique dining table, circa 1890, that could sit between ten and twelve people when fully extended. It consists of two ‘D’ ends and two central removable leaves held in place with brass ‘d’ clips. It stands on beautifully turned pedestals with tripod splayed legs having brass lion paw castors. It does show signs of old repairs on the top and underside which add to the character and authenticity of the piece. It is a light medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
