Large Victorian Oak Antique Library Bookcase.
This is a superb example of a large Victorian oak antique library bookcase dating from around 1890. It has a moulded cornice with dental moulding above three glazed doors with key and working locks. Each interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above three oak lined drawers with original brass handles, and three beautifully figured cupboard doors with moulded edges and raised fielded panels. Each interior has one removable shelf.
The antique bookcase stands on a moulded plinth and has reeded edges. It is a rich, medium oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
This piece splits into three sections which helps with transportation.
