English, Regency, George III, circa 1815

Excellent. Cleaning waxing, minor old restorations. The writing leather appears to be some 80-100 years old, with excellent patina to the leather.

A fine Regency rosewood library table, of good original colour and patina, with a delightfully faded green leather writing surface. The rounded rectangular top with cross banded edge and inset green leather of some considerable age. Below a shallow cross-grain frieze, with twin turned, tapering end supports, connected by a turned cross stretcher. The table is supported by classic Regency fluted sabre shaped legs, with applied brass rosette decoration to either side of the knees, terminating in brass paw castors. A simple design, yet superbly elegant table which grace superbly any traditional or contemporary decorating scheme.
