A SADELI AND IVORY GLOVE BOX
Bombay Presidency
Circa 1860.



The rectangular glove box of wood and lined in sandalwood, with a hinged lid, decorated to the top and all sides with ivory panels inlaid with sadeli roundels, surrounded by sadeli borders and with ebony and ivory edge mouldings, the
interior surface of the lid also inlaid with sadeli borders and two sadeli roundels.
