Description / Expertise
A fine quality set of sixteen mahogany dining chairs attributed to Gillows. The curved top rails inlaid with satinwood crossbanding above three carved spindles topped with flowerheads, between reeded uprights. The upholstered seats supported on turned and reeded legs.
This set comprises 16 matched chairs of virtually identical design from the same workshop and proably made within five years of each other to the same specification. There are very slight differences among the set which are virtually un-noticable.
