Harry Humphrey Moore was born in 1844 in New York.
He went on to become a painter of genre scenes, figures, local scenes and landscapes.
In the 1970’s he travelled to Spain then on to Morocco, where he stayed for two years. He continued to travel onto Rome and Japan.
He also was a painter of Oriental subjects.
He finally settled in Paris. He exhibited there and in 1889
was awarded a bronze medal at the Exposition Universelle.
Moore died in Paris on 2 January 1926.
