Superb 18th Century Sheraton Mahogany Bow Fronted Sideboard (c. 1795 England)

Description / Expertise
The sideboard's inlay is unusual because the boxwood has been effectively used with the rosewood creating a sunburst effect. The solid well figured mahogany top is cross-banded with rosewood, boxwood and tulipwood with the original brass gravy rail still in tacked, the right hand drawer contains the original lead lined cellerette with the opposing drawer used for storage and a full length drawer to the middle. The finely tapered inlaid legs are elegant.
