ProvenanceAn engraved plaque inside the trunk door states the clock hung in the Star Hotel , Yarmouth since the time of Nelson till it was sold privately in 1932.
Description / Expertise
The lacquer work and dial are in fine original condition and the chinoiserie has great charm.
An unusual and interesting feature is the segmented mahogany bezel which is glazed and hinged at the top. Dial size including the bezel 23".
