Description / Expertise
Besides his achievements in England within the Royal British Academy and Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, and his numerous one man shows at the Fine Art Society and The Leicester Galleries, Robert George Talbot Kelly spent much of his life travelling the world to paint. He reached places as remote as Iceland, as far afield as Burma, and spent twenty years travelling as a Bedouin in Egypt. In North Africa he painted a great number of beautiful landscapes which perfectly compliment his oriental scenes.
The Jews' River flows through Morocco, to this day. Hundreds of years ago the river was powerful and fierce. Now as calm and still as it was in the nineteenth century. It can now be found on the Western side of the city of Tangiers.
