Su Watts is a contemporary artist, living & working in Hampshire. She has been working with texture for the last decade, finding a successful method of using plaster, and scratching (scraffito) into the surface whilst the plaster is still wet – a method similar to the traditional art of fresco making. Layers of paints & glazes add to the build-up of texture, & collage is often added to increase the effect.
Su concentrates on Still Life painting and has exhibited at Lacewing Fine Art for many years, both in their Gallery at Winchester and at the LAPADA shows at the Royal Academy, London, in 2005-2008
