A VIENNESE COLD PAINTED BRONZE TORTOISE INKWELL
Austria
Circa 1890.



The tortoise realistically modelled with neck out-stretched and shown with legs moving forwards, the shell hinged and lifting to reveal a hollow interior with a circular opening for an inkwell, stamped to the underside ‘GESCHULZT DEPOSE’.
The bronze in good condition with excellent colour and patination.
