Hungarian painter of genre subjects. He was born at
Terok-Sanzt-Miklos in 1863 and started his career as an artist in Budapest. Szenes exhibited works at the
Paris Salons and received a Bronze Medal for his exhibit in 1900 at the Exposition Universelle.
The influences for this painting are drawn from the late 19th Century French genre painters both in style and lighting.
His works rarely appear on the market.
