John McLean of 34 Marylebone Street, Piccadilly (1814-1825) was a London cabinet maker working in the Regency period. A subscriber to Sheraton’s Directory 1803, he was particularly known for his fine cabinets and desks in the French taste, using cast and chased metal mounts. His later work with Boulle-like inlay and brass strips was often worked in rosewood. He advertised that he specialised in ‘Elegant Parisian Furniture’.
