a rare fan system cane in fine condition, with a "drop down" section of the shaft with opens to reveal a burgundy coloured fan. This is then clipped into position with a small brass stay. Mounted on the shaft is a unique brass acorn hinge, embossed "PAT'D", with a further brass sliding collar. The fan measures 13"x6.5", the top of the cane is finished with a reeded brass knop handle.
