Description / Expertise
A fine Sheraton period mahogany and inlaid Chest on Chest, of the highest quality, made in circa 1795. Still with it’s original gilt-brass handles, the dramatic, matched flame-figured veneers are perfectly complemented by the satinwood inlays of flutes and oval medallions to the pediment. Raised on ‘French bracket’ feet, the Chest on Chest is a superb example of Sheraton design.
