An Indo-Portuguese Cabinet on Stand (Contador) This teak cabinet was produced under Portuguese patronage in Goa, India in the late 17th century. Inlaid with ebony, ivory and with gilt copper mounts, it is supported by feet in the shape of secondary gods of the Hindu pantheon, naginas who are protective spirits of rivers, lakes and fountains
