Description / Expertise
This wonderful armchair has a shaped top rail over a back with boldly modelled baluster-shaped splat with moulded uprights either side, unusual shaped wings and shaped armrests over turned supports, turned front legs and front stretcher, with solid seat set into moulded seat rails. Legs have been tipped.
This rare country armchair is imposing in scale, with rich patination, and has characterful old blacksmith's iron repairs to the rear of the top rail.
