Description / Expertise
A very good Regency figured mahogany, cross banded & brass strung breakfast table retaining excellent original colour & patina. The rounded rectangular top of wonderfully figured mahogany with cross banded circumference bordered by brass stringing and with reeded edge and a down-standing flame mahogany frieze. The top is supported by a turned vase shaped column and supported by a quad-partite brass strung base terminating in brass reeded castors. Of excellent quality throughout, clearly made by a top cabinet maker, the long rectangular shape ideally lends itself to providing seating for six people on this lovely table.
