Description / Expertise
Webster Murray was a Canadian born illustrator and portrait painter. He worked in Paris in the early 1920s before moving to London where he worked as an illustrator for The Tatler and The Sketch. In the late 1930s he married the British illustrator Joan Kiddell-Monroe. They spent much of their early married life travelling, particularly in Aftica. They return to England at the beginning of World War II where they remained until his death in 1957.
