Description / Expertise
A fine English George III figured mahogany demi-lune pier table of pure elegant form and excellent original colour & patina. The well figure semi-circular top with shallow rear up-stand and flame veneered edge over a frieze, again of excellent flame veneers, moulded lower edge and out-stepped leg stanchions. The table is supported by square section tapering legs. The table would probably be used in a hall or drawing room or set between a pair of doors; it could also be used as a smaller dining room serving table. A lovely original piece, understated yet elegant retaining superb original colour and patina.
