Description / Expertise
The box of oval form, the hinged lid inlaid with a Sheraton oval marquetry panel of leaves and boxwood banded, the front with ivory diamond escutcheon decorated with inlay and penwork of ribbon tied flowering honeysuckle within boxwood stringing to the base. The interior with traces of the original pewter tea box lining.
