Description / Expertise
The box of elongated hexagonal form with a hinged lid with brass handle of axehead form. The top and sides finely and elaborately filled with coloured and gilt edged flowers and scrolls as is the reverse with panels around of chequered boxwood and ebony inlay. The interior with traces of tea box pewter lining, the base with green woven cloth.
