Brome Hall in the county of Suffolk was the home of Charles Lord Cornwallis, Baron of Eye and Lord Lieutenant of the County.
Engraved by Johannes Kip (1653 - 1722) a Dutchman working in England from circa 1690 and known for his topographical work, after a drawing by Leonard Knyff, a fellow countryman. Printed by J.Smith, Strand (London). Coloured by hand and now in a gilt frame.
