Description / Expertise
These tables are made after the death of Galle. So made by the the etablissement of Galle. Many famous vases are made after his death, for example the elephant vase or the vase with the polar bear. It is just about quality, not really if a vase is made before his death or after. It is all about : do you like the object or not.
I like these rare tables. I had them once before, slightly different.
The only picture I found of these tables complete together, is from the Elton John sale in 1988 with Sotheby's. Very rare.
The big one is pictured in a book. They obviously did not know there should have been three. See the scan from the book: 100 years decorative arts by Eric Knowles.
