Description / Expertise
A fine early George III card table in mahogany of an excellent colour and patina the top with a finely carved edge above a veneered frieze with rope edge detailing and standing on well drawn square chamfered and moulded legs, similarly carved and with well carved angle brackets. The table opening on a concertina frame, to reveal a baize lined interior, circa 1770

Richard Wright and Thomas Elwick (1745-1771) of Wakefield became one of the pre eminent firms of cabinet makers in Yorkshire in the latter half of the 18th Century.
