ASSOCIACÃO PORTUGESA ANTIQUÁRIOS

A.P.A. Associação Portuguesa dos Antiquários (Portuguese Association of Antiques Dealers) was founded in 1990 with the motto “Quality, Authenticity and Trust". Its membership includes seventy of Portugal’s most prestigious antique dealers.

In 1996, its merit was recognised by being accepted as member of CINOA. A.P.A. aims to guarantee quality, authenticity and trust and, for this, its statutes enforce upon members the issue of certificates of authenticity for each piece sold.

A.P.A. has played an important role in the preservation of the mobile cultural patrimony.

A.P.A. organises its Biannual Fair, for members only, in Lisbon at the Cordoaria Nacional Building, considered the most prestigious and important antiques show in the country.

In 1999 the Portuguese Association of Antiques Dealers organised, in collaboration with Lisbon’s City Council, the show “Choices – Rare and Collectible Objects" which began its 10th anniversary celebrations.
