VERBAND SCHWEIZER GALERIEN

Verband Schweizer Galerien (Association of Swiss Galleries) represents 55 leading galleries in Switzerland. A professional Secretary’s Office provides the necessary support and ensures that networking of galleries is in place.

The Association works for the best possible basic conditions in Switzerland (VAT, against droit de suite, promotion of a specific location for art trade). It further delivers services for the use of all members (see www.artgalleries.ch), coordinates projects (e.g. Switzerland as guest of honour at Arco 2003) and supports its members in legal issues. Verband Schweizer Galerien is affiliated with FEAGA (the European umbrella organisation of proprietors of galleries) as well as with the world art trade association CINOA.
