Gallery Yacou is a family-run business that specialises in antique carpets and rugs. Robin Yacoubian is the fourth generation to work for the firm, which for the last 16 years has been based on London’s Fulham Road. Gallery Yacou’s stock includes carpets and textiles from both Europe and Asia, and antique as well as modern pieces. In addition to carpets and rugs, of all sizes, colours and textures, they also stock textile wall-hangings such as tapestries and runners. To supplement their London premises, Gallery Yacou displays their carpets at Edenbridge Galleries in Kent and at the Blanchard Collective in Hungerford, Berkshire. Robin Yacoubian, together with his father Jack, are happy to make home visits to help source the right pieces for individual homes, whether it is an historic listed building or a contemporary apartment. As well as selling to private clients, they also advise interior designers and have furnished City offices. Gallery Yacou are industry partners of BIID, The British Institute of Interior Design. The gallery offers a comprehensive care package for all textiles including cleaning, restoration and repair services. They can also assist with valuations, acquisitions and the safe shipment of textiles to and from anywhere in the world. Gallery Yacou is a regular exhibitor at a number of antiques fairs including the Olympia Fairs, the BADA Fair and the Battersea Antiques & Textiles Fair.
