Art Galleries Switzerland
More Information
Annemarie Verna Galerie
Neptunstrasse 42, Zurich, 8032, Switzerland
The gallery was founded 1969 by Annemarie and Gianfranco Verna. At the heart of its programming is a group of artists rooted in the break-through period of the late 1960's and early 1970's. It maintains that this new definition of art, of the gallery space, and of the artist's role constitutes the basis of postwar art.

Galerie Carzaniga Basel
Gemsberg 10, 4051Basel
Since the 1st October 2004, the gallery has been managed by the three partners Arnaldo Carzaniga, Philipp Hediger, and Markus Rück who continued the activities of the former Galerie Carzaniga + Ueker. The gallery’s focus ranges from the exhibition of classic Swiss art (incl. Gruppe Rot-Blau and Gruppe 33) to abstract expressionism, informal, and contemporary art from Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. The gallery’s main focus lies on painting, alongside which we represent a variety of other media such as drawing, sculpture or photography. The gallery’s vicinities are located in a historic building in the old town of Basel, offering an accentuated historical contrast and beautiful surroundings for the 20th- and 21st-century art. We publish catalogues and monographs for our exhibitions, which change every six to eight weeks.

Galerie Fabian & Claude Walter
Rämistrasse 18, CH-8001 Zürich, P.O. Box 675, CH-8024 Zürich
Fabian and Claude Walter opened their gallery in Basel on March 20th 1986. Therefore, the gallery celebrated its thirty-year anniversary last year.
The gallery acts as a catalyst between contemporary artists, institutions and the public. Its exhibitions are based on a consistent conceptual program and on long term cooperation with artists. Furthermore, it focuses on getting involved with new media as well as innovative artists at an early stage.
So far, the gallery has staged over 200 solo and group shows, published catalogues and has participated since 1989 in international art fairs. Parallel to the exhibitions in the main showroom, the gallery has created a new form of exhibition titled Cabinet, in the context of which selected photographs from an expanded range in collaboration with independent curators are shown.
For over 20 years, Fabian & Claude Walter have been active as art consultants advising nationally and internationally active companies and collections on questions relating to the integration of art into existing buildings or buildings still under construction. They realise and organise architectural art projects and assist their clients in building up, developing and managing art collections.
