Adrian Sassoon deals both in porcelain from the French royal porcelain factory at Sèvres and also in contemporary British studio ceramics and glass works of art.
His experience in the field of French porcelain spans some twenty years, having worked at the J. Paul Getty Museum in California, which houses an important collection of Sèvres porcelain, and which he had the privilege of cataloguing.
The contemporary works sold by Adrian - made by artists in studios as opposed to factories - are a particular speciality of his. Most of the stock has been made very recently, or in the last few years, although some works of art from the mid-20th century are also included in his collection. Objects are fashioned from ceramics, glass, metalware and wood, and all the artists promoted by Adrian are particularly sensitive to the importance of materials and their form.
Adrian Sassoon produce occasional catalogues of contemporary and antique works of art. Some of these are dedicated to the works of individual artists, such as Hiroshi Suzuki and Junko Mori, and others, such as Contemporary Works of Art and Contemporary British Glass cover a number of the talented artists, whose work Adrian is so keen to promote.
Adrian deals at fairs and by appointment in London. He exhibits at Masterpiece London and Art Antiques London.
