CINOA

A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear colleagues,

The business of CINOA is to be a proponent for our dealers. There are multiple issues facing us, some quite complex and time consuming such as government regulations and others more existential such as a waning interest in the art and antique fields. Our ability to deal with these issues is why the Board of CINOA meets three times per year. We met in Brussels on March 10 and last November in London and we will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 14 in Basel, which ALL members and affiliated dealers of CINOA are invited to attend. Board meetings are essentially strategy sessions and determinations of where, with our limited resources, we can be most effective for our members. Whatever we decide, however, will not be effective without all of you. We hope you will either join us or send us your thoughts about how best to go forward.

Best regards,

Clinton Howell
President of CINOA

Furthermore, Vincent Geerling, a CINOA affiliated dealer and Chairman of the International Association of Dealers in Ancient Art (IADAA), who has been very active on this subject, will also attend the meeting with Erika. This will be an excellent opportunity to make our voice heard as the Commission is currently reviewing the responses received to its public consultation on rules on the import of cultural goods before proposing follow-up actions.
