John Eskenazi Ltd

John Eskenazi joined his father's family business in Milan in 1977 when Eskenazi was already an established name in the Oriental art world. John moved to London in the 1990s and set up a gallery in Old Bond Street, building on his reputation as an expert in Indian and Himalayan art as well as Asian art and textiles. He was instrumental in setting up Asian Art in London and London Sculpture Week and is also a founder partner of the highly regarded publication 'The Art Newspaper'.

John Eskenazi's stock contains important works of art ranging from 1st century Bengali sculptures to 10th century bronze statues from Cambodia. Through his extensive research and travel John has sourced and acquired rare and important works of art for many museums the world over, including the British Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Musee du Louvre in Paris. He has also curated, or co-curated, many specialist exhibitions at leading galleries including the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

John Eskenazi Ltd regularly exhibits at TEFAF, Maastricht and the Asian Art Fair in New York. Although he no longer has a gallery in London, John, together with his wife Fausta, is available for consultation and private viewings.
