   A Passion for Vintage Wallpapers

 Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz, of bi-cultural background, has a base both in New York and Paris.

Trained as an art historian at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, she has become over the past 30 years “the” specialist of vintage wallpaper decors from the XVIIIc. through the Art Deco period.

Thus, committed to the rediscovery of this unique mural art form, she has shown how to reintroduce today these panels into contemporary settings.

She also has exhibited since several years in important art fairs such as, the New York Winter Show, TEFAF Maastricht, FineArts/la Biennale, Paris.

Appraiser- as member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts, Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz works with insurance companies and private collectors.

Lecturer- she organizes and delivers  PowerPoint presentations to various cultural organizations,  both in English and French.

Author- her book Wallpaper- a History of Style and Trends (published both in English and French by Flammarion, 2009) was awarded  the Paul Marmottan prize, Académie des  Beaux Arts,  Institut de France.
