Katharina Büttiker, an internationally renowned Zurich-based gallerist and expert in Art Nouveau and Art Deco, has been specializing in high-quality art objects for over forty years. Due to her extensive expertise, she is a recognized authority worldwide. In addition to furniture, silver, ceramics, jewelry, bronzes, and paintings, Katharina Büttiker is particularly known for her extensive and unique collection of objects by the most famous glass artists from the early 20th century. Her collection includes works by Louis Comfort Tiffany, René Lalique, and especially glass objects by Daum Frères, Nancy, Émile Gallé, Marinot, Burgun & Schverer, and Loetz. Katharina Büttiker’s deep love for Daum Frères, Nancy, led her to publish three significant books in 1986, 2000, and 2004, cataloging, describing, and illustrating her comprehensive collection. These books are consulted by experts and collectors alike. The uniquely high-quality jewelry objects from Art Nouveau and Art Deco include pieces by Lalique, Fouquet, Henri Vever, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Raymond Templier, and Boucheron. Additionally, she owns unique silver pieces by Fabergé and Josef Hoffmann, as well as bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Raoul Larche, Rembrandt Bugatti, and others. Some very significant pieces of furniture complete the collection. Notable painters of the Art Nouveau and Symbolist movements include Alphons Mucha, Franz von Stuck, and Arnold Böcklin.
