Jan Van Beers have been specialist Oriental art dealers since 1978 and from 1988 their gallery has been located in Davies Street, close to the heart of London’s international antique dealing area in Mayfair.
The business specialises in Chinese ceramics and works of art ranging from Neolithic through the Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The stock at any time might range between pieces such as a Cizhou box and cover and a delicately coloured Junyao tripod censer, both from the Song dynasty (960-1279), through to a Kangxi (1662-1722) blue and white brush pot and a yellow-glazed censer from the late Ming dynasty.
Over the last 25 years Jan Van Beers have built up a rapport with collectors, institutions, museums and other dealers, based on his knowledge and on the quality and value of his stock.
The gallery offers advice on all aspects of collecting Chinese art and is also happy to arrange shipping and packing to all parts of the world.
The gallery is open on weekdays from 10 till 6, or other times by appointment. Davies Street runs from Oxford Street to Berkeley Square, parallel with Bond Street and the gallery is located in close proximity to Claridge’s Hotel.
