The Clock Clinic is based in Putney, southwest London, and, as its name suggests, offers a comprehensive restoration service, as well as a carefully chosen selection of clocks for sale. Run by Rob and Jane Pedler, the business began in 1971 and has been at its current premises in Putney for over 30 years.
The Clock Clinic stocks bracket, mantel, carriage, longcase and wall clocks of the 18th and 19th centuries. Their particular specialisations are English longcase and bracket clocks and they hold examples by Dwerrihouse, Carter & Son of Berkley Square and Blundell of London.
All clocks offered for sale are serviced by the small team of experts who work at the Clock Clinic workshop on the same site. Once sold, the team are happy to set up a clock in a client’s home and offer a comprehensive care package. They also undertake maintenance and restoration work on clients’ own clocks, watches and barometers and where possible use traditional restoration techniques. They are accredited by the British Horological Institute and are members of the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild. Rob Pedler is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
The Clock Clinic Ltd is a regular exhibitor at the Olympia Fine Art & Antiques Fair held each November and have also exhibited at the BADA Fair.
