John Beazor Antiques

Based in a delightful old shop in Regent Street Cambridge, John Beazor Antiques sells a wide range of 18th- and early 19th-century furniture, barometers, clocks and decorative items, concentrating on the finer pieces of English antique furniture. Stock is selected for its originality and for the quality of its design, colour and patination.

The family business was first started in 1875, and moved to Cambridge in 1940, making it one of Britain’s oldest surviving antique shops outside London. Currently run by Martin Beazor, the great grandson of the founder, John Beazor Antiques is a traditional antique furniture shop offering an interesting selection of fine English pieces in a charming period setting. Located in the city of Cambridge, known for its university and fine historic buildings, a visit to John Beazor Antiques can readily be combined with visits to the Cambridge colleges or the world-renowned Fitzwilliam Museum.

Among the typical stock of antiques on display at any one time may perhaps be found a Georgian tea table, a Regency writing table, a mahogany cabinet, a partners’ desk or an early 19th-century rosewood centre table. To accompany these perhaps a gilt gesso mirror, a stick barometer or Bergere library chair.

Beazor’s offer a delivery service for purchases locally, nationally or internationally.
